Products And Services - Disclaimer

When using our products and services, consumers (accompanying adults) will be asked to sign the terms of a standard sale agreement with the venue operator which includes clear disclaimer provisions, to protect the venue operator and Childminder UK Ltd.

This is available to view in detail here in Adobe PDF format. Signing this is a very simple process that takes just a few seconds, on a pad used for a number of separate customers.

We provide a fantastic service which undoubtedly significantly increases the safety of all children utilising it when out and about enjoying themselves. This is a worldwide first that provides parents with so much more peace of mind and the ability to really enjoy their precious family leisure time.

However no system involving both technology and people can be provided, sold or marketed as 100% full-proof and neither we nor our licensed venue operators will guarantee the safety or accept any responsibility for the supervision of children in any way or take on any liability in this respect whatsoever.

Parents, teachers, guardians, relatives or carers must therefore retain sole responsibility at all times for the supervision and safety of all children in their care whilst using ChildMINDER® products and services at our partner locations.

Wristband Design

1) Technology In Use

Our system includes set processes and procedures for staff to administer and locate lost children. The wristband technology itself is not designed to establish the specific location of a lost child. It is designed to help to ensure that the child cannot leave a designated area.

This principle addresses the parent's ultimate concern as clearly it is of little use being able to establish where a child is if they could leave the last known location at any time or if they are no longer within the establishment at all.

It is also important to make the system as simple and affordable to parents as possible so that more of us can take advantage of it at reasonable prices and so that the technology is straight-forward and therefore less likely to fail when needed.

2) Strength Versus Durability

The wristbands have been designed to prevent and deter removal in their intended environment, predominantly by children themselves.

They have been specified to withstand cutting or forcing up to a certain reasonable point but are not made to completely prevent removal as of course the venue operators may need to remove a wristband without the key using a special cutting device in the very rare event of a fault with the lock.

Different factors have been balanced to ensure that wristbands remain comfortable, light enough, hypoallergenic and non abrasive for children to wear them safely, whilst being strong enough to significantly lower the risk of them becoming detached from the child by whatever means.
